Kai Leddy: Candidate

I’ve been a full time resident of Talkeetna for 5 years, I’m a homeowner, full time artist and dog musher in our community! When not painting for my small art business, I spend most of my time outdoors with the dogs building trails, enjoying the scenery, working on our property and traveling around Talkeetna by dog team! I’ve always been interested in the Council and the work they do and I’m excited to be considered to be a part of this important piece of Talkeetna’s community!

Frannie Christensen: Current Board Member

I first moved to Talkeetna in 2001 and was immediately drawn to the strong sense of community and high level of civic engagement. Having spent many years working in both the public and private sectors, I believe that a well-functioning public sector is key to the success of the private sector. I have served on the Talkeetna Community Council for the past two years, and my goal is to help ensure a transparent public process that supports Talkeetna residents having a voice in decisions that impact our community. I will work to help Talkeetna grow in a sustainable and healthy manner so that we can continue to enjoy the benefits of this exceptional community and its extraordinary natural surroundings.

Krister Bowman: Current Board Member

My connection to this community dates back to the mid-'80s, having grown up on a homestead in the Trapper Creek Area. After years of being in the area on and off, I decided in 2015 to return to Talkeetna permanently, bringing my wife and two boys. We chose to move home permanently because I value the unique upbringing this area provided me, and wish the same for my children.

Serving on the Council this past term has been incredibly rewarding, and I'm hoping for the opportunity to serve this community for a second term.

Pam Young: Current Board Member

Following our visit to Talkeetna some time back, we had such a great experience that we decided to move in and we found our home just a few years ago. It has been a privilege and an honor to serve on the Talkeetna Community Council and I look forward to continuing in this capacity. As your community council member, I value the opportunity to engage with each Talkeetna resident and promote a great future for our village. Thank you for considering my candidacy.
